Biography
Julian Goldberger is a WGA writer and director known for his distinct voice in independent film. His
writing and directing credits include The Hawk Is Dying, starring Paul Giamatti and Michelle Williams, and the critically acclaimed indie Trans, which garnered him an Independent Spirit Award nomination for the Someone to Watch Award. Goldberger's work has been showcased globally at prestigious venues, including
Cannes Directors’ Fortnight, Sundance, Toronto, Berlin and MoMA’s New Directors/New
Films. In addition to his own feature films, he has written scripts for Universal
Studios, Lionsgate Television, and prominent producers such as Marc Platt, Ted Hope
and Ed Pressman.
