Biography

Jeremy Flath is a creative director, art director, designer and educator with more than 30 years of experience building brands and connecting audiences through strategy-driven communications. He has served at global advertising agencies and boutique creative shops as well as client-side in-house creative teams across healthcare, wellness, aesthetics, medical technology, automotive, electronics, food and beverage, and consumer products where he leads creative initiatives that span brand identity, advertising, digital experiences, social media, video, print, events, and all types of integrated marketing campaigns.

Flath is known for combining strategic thinking with a hands-on creative approach. He has led multidisciplinary creative teams, mentored designers and art directors, and collaborated closely with marketing, product, and executive leadership teams throughout his career. His work emphasizes thoughtful storytelling, strong conceptual development, and design systems that create clarity, consistency and impact.

In addition to his industry career, Flath has served as an adjunct lecturer at Chapman University since 2019, where he teaches Design Strategy to students in the Public Relations, Advertising and Entertainment Marketing program. He developed the course curriculum to introduce students to the fundamentals of visual communication, typography, composition, creative problem-solving, and design thinking while preparing them to excel as working professionals. Beyond the classroom, he also serves as a design portfolio reviewer and mentor, helping students develop the skills and confidence needed to launch their own successful creative careers.

He believes that great design is about more than aesthetics — it’s about solving problems, communicating ideas with purpose, and creating meaningful connections between organizations and the people they serve. His teaching reflects the same philosophy that has guided his professional career: encouraging curiosity, craftsmanship, collaboration, creative audacity, and continuous learning while helping students build a strong foundation for lifelong creative growth.
