Biography
Jane Jollineau (formerly Jane Kennedy) joined The Argyros School in 2020 after eight
years at the University of San Diego (USD) School of Business. Prior to USD, Jane
was the Deloitte Professor of Accounting at the Foster School of Business, University
of Washington. She earned her Ph.D. at Duke University. Jane served as an editor of The
Accounting Review from 2018-2020 and 2002-2005. She has also served on the editorial
boards of Accounting, Organizations & Society; Auditing: A Journal of Theory & Practice; Behavioral
Research in Accounting; and Contemporary Accounting Research. She has published in The
Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting Research, Auditing: A Journal of Practice
and Theory, Journal of Management Accounting Research, Behavioral Research in Accounting,
Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and Journal of Behavioral Decision
Making. Jane’s current research interests include how individuals use information
in decision-making, financial reporting and auditing. Four of her Ph.D. students have
won “outstanding dissertation” awards. She enjoys teaching financial accounting to
MBA students and has won a number of teaching awards, including the PACCAR award at
UW. Jane was born in Canada.
