Biography

In addition to directing the Writing Center, Jaime Campbell is an Instructional Professor of English who values working with students to reach their intellectual and creative potential as writers. She has over fifteen years of experience teaching composition and rhetoric as well as creative writing at Chapman and other local universities and community colleges. Jaime is also a published short story writer. Her work has appeared in Santa Monica Review, Los Angeles Review, and Sonora Review among others. She is the managing editor of local online literary magazine Citric Acid and is always looking to discover fresh local voices. Jaime is an avid yoga practitioner and life-long learner currently pursuing a master’s degree in counseling. She runs the Writing Center aiming to create a space where all students at Chapman feel welcome to engage critically and creatively in collegiate discourse, research, and writing.
