Biography

Hee Jeong Przytulski has dedicated her career to the Irvine Unified School District since 1999 and currently serves as a music educator at Beacon Park, Cypress Village, and Eastshore Schools. Throughout her tenure, she has conducted numerous district honor ensembles and has presented at the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association (SCSBOA) Music Educators Conference. In addition to her work as an educator, she serves as a university student teacher supervisor for Chapman University’s Attallah College of Education. She is an adjunct professor at La Sierra University in Riverside, where she shares her expertise in music education. She has also been invited as a guest lecturer at UCLA’s Herb Alpert School of Music. Her contributions to music education have been recognized with numerous honors, including the 2012 Orange County Music and Arts Administrators (OCMAA) Elementary Instrumental Music Teacher of the Year award and being named one of OCMAA’s Outstanding Arts Educators in 2013 and 2022. In 2014, she was recognized as the Irvine Unified School District’s Visual and Performing Arts Teacher of the Year. She was awarded the OCMAA Grant for Instrumental Music and has received several grants from the Irvine Public Schools Foundation (IPSF) to support her innovative teaching initiatives. Beyond her teaching, she continues to perform as a freelance musician while maintaining a successful private clarinet studio.
