Biography
Gregory Warren is an Instructional Assistant Professor of Leadership Studies at Attallah
College of Educational Studies. Warren received his Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration, with a minor in Psychology, from California Polytechnic State University,
San Luis Obispo, and a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership and Ph.D. in Education
with an emphasis in Leadership Studies from Chapman University. After completing his
dissertation on the topic of "Democratic Leadership Development in City Government,"
he retired from his nearly three-decade career in municipal government and renewed
his commitment to teach leadership studies at Chapman. As a Freirean scholar with
Chapman's Paulo Freire Democratic Project, Warren is involved with research and writing
to serve others so they may become acquainted with the legacy and philosophical contributions
of Paulo Freire.
In additional to his service as a researcher and teacher, he recently founded Alchemy Associates. The primary purpose of Alchemy is to refine and share the practices of leadership development, conflict management, and coaching with individuals, communities, organizations, and institutions.
