Biography

Grayson Richmond is an actor, director, teacher, & writer who works in theatre. He has previously taught at Elm Shakespeare Company, the Yale Summer Session Acting Program, & the Dwight/Edgewood Project. 

As an actor, Richmond recently originated his role in the world-premiere of & SONS by Jack Angelo Cummings (winner of the 2025 Kirk New Play Prize) at Luna Stage. Richmond starred in the U.S./English-language premiere of APOLOGIAE 4 & 5 directed by Andreas Andreou at the Yale Cabaret & in a remount staged with the writer, Academy Award-nominee Efthimis Filippou, in attendance. Additionally, Richmond appeared in Yura Kordonsky’s adaptation of THE INSPECTOR at Yale Repertory Theatre, as well as in a workshop of Emily Breeze’s THE CARE AND KEEPING OF YOU PAGES 76-77 at the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale. 

As a director, Richmond has presented new work from Matthew Chong, Austin Riffelmacher, Andrew Rincón, & Max Sheldon at the Yale Cabaret. 

He has been trained by & worked with leaders in theatre such as Chris Bayes, James Bundy, Ron Van Lieu, Budi Miller, a.k. payne, Mary Lou Rosato, John Douglas Thompson, Walton Wilson, Tamilla Woodard, & Evan Yionoulis. He holds a BFA in Screen Acting from Chapman University & an MFA in Acting from Yale University.
