Biography
Dr. Corinna Hathuc has served in K-12 education during the shift to Common Core State
Standards, changes to state testing, and the increase of educational technology usage
in classrooms. She has been an elementary principal, junior high assistant principal,
high school summer school principal and coordinator of elementary curriculum and instruction.
Before her work as an administrator, Dr. Hathuc taught at the elementary level and
mathematics in public and charter schools. Dr. Hathuc also holds her Gifted and Talented
Education Certificate.
Dr. Hathuc’s experience in education is unique and has shaped her leadership style and her outlook when working with educators. Her work as a school site administrator in both elementary and secondary has allowed her to see the continuum of support and alignment needed for teachers, students, and families. As the Coordinator of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction, Dr. Hathuc oversaw all transitional kindergarten teachers, intervention teachers, and elementary instructional coaches; Dr. Hathuc also designed district-wide professional development for approximately 600 teachers annually. Dr. Hathuc was part of a core group of district administrators that assisted with the planning and operation of schools shifting to distance learning in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She was an elementary principal when schools re-opened to blended learning and transitioned back to in-person learning. As a teacher, Dr. Hathuc opened two charter schools that debuted number one in their respective counties for student achievement.
