Biography
Bas van der Vossen (DPhil, Oxford University) is Professor of Philosophy and a member
of the Smith Institute for Political Economy and Philosophy. His research deals with
questions in political philosophy and the philosophy of law, focusing especially on
the intersection of political and economic issues. Prof. Van der Vossen teaches courses
on political and legal philosophy, global justice, the work of John Locke, as well
as courses offered through the Smith Institute’s humanomics program.
