Dr. Ashley Daffron is an Associate Professor, and previously was an Assistant Professor at CUSP of Pharmacy Practice at CUSP from 2017-2018. Dr. Daffron earned her Pharm.D. at the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of Nebraska/Nebraska Medicine, and a PGY-2 residency in Ambulatory Care at the University of Colorado.

Dr. Daffron taught at the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences for 7 years. During her previous time at Chapman, Dr. Daffron served as the course director for the Patient Centered Communications Course and was a frequent lecturer across the pharmacotherapy curriculum. In addition, she dedicated half of her time to establishing and expanding clinical pharmacy services in an internal medicine clinic in Denver as a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist. There, she provided both direct and indirect patient care while precepting students, residents, and fellows. Her clinical work spanned chronic disease state management, quality improvement projects, population health initiatives, and the delivery of value-based care.

Dr. Daffron’s research portfolio includes both funded and unfunded projects in areas highly relevant to ambulatory care practice. Her work has explored continuous glucose monitoring in primary care, opioid and benzodiazepine deprescribing, naloxone co-prescribing, early combination lipid-lowering therapy, centralized outreach models to improve blood pressure control, virtual CGM initiation services, and innovative approaches to chronic disease management.
