Biography
Dr. Aruna Ekanayake received a Ph.D. in Film and Television from the UCLA School of
Theater, Film and Television. His current research considers how global political
cinemas adopt and reiterate Third Cinema practice and theory. His other research interests
include transnational cinema, cinema theory, experimental cinema, digital cinema,
and documentary history and theory.
