Biography

Dr. Angelica Allen is an Assistant Professor and Director of Africana Studies. She received her doctorate in African and African Diaspora Studies at the University of Texas at Austin and most recently, completed a pre-doctoral fellow at the Carter G. Woodson Institute at the University of Virginia. Her research has been awarded by the Ford Foundation and the Carter G. Woodson Institute for African American and African Studies at the University of Virginia. Her research projects overlap with fields like Asian American Studies, Anthropology, American Studies and Filipinx American Studies.
