Biography

Dr. Anasua Kusari earned her Ph.D. in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry from Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, India. She has held teaching and scientific research roles for more than 15 years, with experience ranging from stem cell research to graduate-level biotechnology instruction. At Chapman University, she teaches cell biology and molecular genetics laboratory courses BIO204L (cell biology lab) and BIO208L (molecular genetics lab) and is committed to creating an inclusive, supportive, and motivating learning environment. She provides hands-on training in core molecular biology techniques while helping students develop confidence in experimental design and data interpretation. Her work focuses on helping students build confidence in scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and experimentation. She finds teaching deeply rewarding and strives to spark curiosity, resilience, and confidence in every student she works with.
