Allison Silver Adams

Allison Silver brings more than 25 years of experience as a creative, physical and post-production executive on feature films at some of the world’s leading independent film companies, including FilmNation, Focus Features and Miramax.

As executive VP of international production at FilmNation, Silver oversaw a diverse slate of acclaimed films, including The King’s Speech (Academy Award winner for Best Picture), The Imitation Game (Academy Award nominee for Best Picture), Nebraska (six-time Academy Award nominee), and Sofia Coppola’s The Bling Ring. She also played a key role in the acquisition of Room (four-time Academy Award nominee). During her tenure, she collaborated with Pedro and Agustín Almodóvar's production company El Deseo on three films, including the critically acclaimed The Skin I Live In (BAFTA Award winner for Best Foreign Language Film).

Silver joined Focus Features at its inception, where she contributed to numerous award-winning films, including Brokeback Mountain (winner of three Academy Awards and three Golden Globes). She also served as a key executive on Jim Jarmusch’s Broken Flowers, which won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival. In addition, she worked closely with El Deseo on five films, including Talk to Her (Academy Award and Golden Globe winner for Best Foreign Language Film) and Volver.

Earlier in her career at Miramax Films, Silver worked on a range of successful and critically acclaimed titles, including Life Is Beautiful, City of God and The Others.
