Film Production (MFA)

» Master all aspects of film and television production in our two-year, immersive conservatory program, with state-of-the-art technology and industry mentors

Welcome to our completely updated, cutting-edge MFA in Film Production, where you specialize in one field but work in teams at the most collaborative film school in the world.

With the best facilities anywhere — and the best team spirit — this two-year MFA program (launched in fall 2024) replaces our previous three-year curriculum, streamlining it all into a compressed and economical timeline.

You’ll be making films from your first week, working side-by-side with industry veterans. You’ll dive into a hands-on training, using the latest tools and technology — while meeting some of the top filmmakers working today.

We will give you the financial support to make great films: Each of our graduate thesis films receive $20,000 in production funds.

Our revised academic calendar starts with a 48-hour boot camp, where you will immediately be thrust into teamwork with some of the finest students from around the world.

Aspiring filmmakers specialize in directing, cinematography or editing at the time of their application. A dynamic curriculum and master classes featuring the industry’s biggest names ensure that all our students cultivate their passion and expertise to the fullest.

You’ll work hard but you’ll never be bored — and you’ll have award-winning faculty to make sure of it.
