Instead of limiting yourself to the capabilities of a single model, PantherAI offers a multi-model approach, giving you flexibility, efficiency, and broader capabilities in one place.

PantherAI shares some similarities with tools like ChatGPT, offering many familiar features. However, there will be some differences in what PantherAI can provide compared to services from companies like OpenAI, Microsoft, and Google. While PantherAI doesn't always replace the need for paid AI subscriptions, it opens up access to advanced tools for a wider audience.

Seamless Workflow: PantherAI simplifies your workflow by providing a single, user-friendly interface to access all models. No need to switch between platforms or subscriptions to get the best results.

Temporary Chat: Keep your chat history clean and focused by using temporary chats for sensitive topics, quick experiments, or anything you don’t need to permanently save. These chats are excluded from search results, cannot be bookmarked, and are automatically deleted after 30 days.

AI Usage Warning: Users must independently verify all AI-generated content for accuracy, as artificial intelligence systems may produce inaccurate information, fabricated citations, or "hallucinated" facts that appear credible but are entirely false. AI outputs should never be considered authoritative sources and must be cross-referenced with legitimate academic materials before inclusion in any scholarly work. Students and researchers remain fully responsible for the accuracy and integrity of their submitted work, regardless of AI assistance used in its preparation. Students should follow any course-specific guidelines and/or consult with their instructor before using AI.

A: PantherAI brings together the power of GPT-4, GPT-5 (via Azure OpenAI), Claude (Anthropic), and Gemini (Google) into one unified platform. * DeepSeek models are Open Source, and the model utilized in PantherAI is hosted by Chapman University in Microsoft Azure. No data is sent to the DeepSeek company when interacting with these models. R1 speeds may experience slowness.

Q: I noticed that there are no real-time web references or results incorporated into the answers.

A: Most providers do not provide integrations that include web results or citations. You can ask the model to return citations in its results, but it will not have access to real-time web data by default. IS&T is exploring options to build our own real-time variants of GPT-4o and other models that include web results in the near future.

Q: I notice that PantherAI behaves differently than ChatGPT/Anthropic/Gemini under my individual account.

A: All of the AI providers incorporate specific features into their applications and tune their models in different ways. Thus, you may occasionally notice differences in the behavior of PantherAI versus using a provider directly.

Q: Are there reasons to continue to use the providers directly?

A: In some cases, yes. Some models are too expensive for IS&T to host directly at this time. Other models, such as OpenAI Sora, do not have APIs and won’t be made available for the foreseeable future.

Q: Why does PantherAI perform differently than the provider?

A: Performance may be limited by the load of the underlying provider or based on the demand of the PantherAI application itself. If you experience persistent issues, please let us know by submitting a support request.

Q: Will you add the latest GPT x.x model to PantherAI?

A: We will explore adding new models as they become available. In some cases, certain models are prohibitively expensive at launch, such as ChatGPT-4.5. Others may not be supported at all. Please let us know what models you would like to see by sending us an email.
