Starting and Sustaining Your Work
Your faculty mentor will likely provide guidance for conducting research or doing the creative activity. In addition, in many cases the mentor will provide access to the necessary equipment and supplies. However, CUE also provides funding that you can apply for to support your research or creative activities, which can be used for supplies, travel costs, and more. A faculty mentor is required for the application, and grants are disbursed in both fall and spring semesters. More info and applications here.
In addition, CUE provides regular professional development events and workshops for students. These have included student panels, workshops on writing grants and personal statements, and more. Please join our newsletter to hear about these and stay in touch.

The Faculty Mentor Directory is an online tool that provides undergraduate students a network of faculty members interested in mentoring undergraduate students in research or creative activity. Students can explore the Faculty Mentor Directory to identify potential faculty mentors that inspire or fit their academic and intellectual research/creative interests.
