»Become A Student Scholar Ambassador

Student Scholar Ambassadors are selected on the basis of their application and an interview. In addition to enthusiasm and strong communication skills, we are looking for a diversity of majors including the fine and performing arts, humanities, and social sciences. Once selected, ambassadors will receive training. Students from ALL MAJORS are encouraged to apply!

Interviews will be scheduled after the deadline once the finalists have been chosen.
Responsibilities
- Giving presentations to freshman interest groups, classes, and student organizations about getting involved in undergraduate research and taking advantage of the Center for Undergraduate Excellence's funding and programming opportunities
- Represent Chapman University and CUE at various campus functions, events, classroom presentations, and panels; e.g. Student scholar Symposium, Faculty Research Expo, Lunch with a Professor, classroom presentations, workshops, and information sessions.
- Complete volunteer service hours
- Monthly meetings
- Peer mentoring office hours at the CUE Office

Eligibility
Applications are open to undergraduates in all disciplines.
You must have at least one of the following requirements to participate in this program
- A semester of a 291/491 Student/Faculty Research or Creative Activity Course
- Applied or received a prestigious fellowship or scholarship through CUE
- Recipient of a CUE Scholarly/Creative Grant
- Recipient of a CUE Travel Grant
- Presented research at Student Scholar Symposium
- Performed independent research that can be supported by a faculty member.
- Plan to continue scholarly research or creative activity in the next academic year
