»Academic Dance Programs

The Department of Dance at Chapman offers two bachelor’s degree programs and one minor:

• Bachelor of Arts in Dance.
• Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance.
• Dance Minor.

All potential Chapman dance students must first apply to the BA in Dance program. Once enrolled as a Dance major, students may apply to the BFA in Dance program in the spring of their sophomore year.

Additionally, the College of Performing Arts offers several minors in music. These opportunities enable students to explore additional interests and enhance their performance skills.

Admission Information

If you apply to Chapman as a Dance major, you must submit the Common Application.

You must then submit both a Creative Supplement and pre-screen audition materials specifically to the Department of Dance.

Business Administration Major, Dance Minor

Growing up a trained dancer, Aleena Aoun knew she did not want her dance journey to end. By pursuing a Dance Minor at Chapman, Aleena is able to keep up with her training, experience and performances while also having the flexibility to earn her degree in Business Administration. “At Chapman I am able to use the career path in Business Administration to further develop my goals as a dancer.”
