Entering into a PGY-1 ambulatory care residency for the County of Santa Clara, Dr. Tagarino's time with Chapman University was defined by brotherhood and seizing every opportunity. "Anytime you join a professional fraternity, doors open for you because there is a huge network of people to connect with."

Completing the PharmD program at 23 thanks to the APEx program, Dr. Myers matched into their dream residency in acute care at Oregon Health and Science University.

"Being able to develop my leadership skills and step into various leadership roles influenced my entire pharmacy experience. I found that I really enjoy being involved in pharmacy organizations."

Awarded as a Chapman University Distinguished Alumni in 2020, Dr. Ngo graduated from both CUSP's PharmD and APEx programs. Now a proud advocate for the pharmacy profession, she serves as an Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacist for Los Angeles County.

A recipient of the 2024 Miltenyi Biotec Immunology Innovator Award, Dr. Calhoun is a Staff Scientist at the Children's Hospital of Orange County. Her research aims to improve pediatric patient outcomes of high risk leukemias through biomarker discoveries.

Two doctorate degrees, an incredible CV of research and teaching, and a career lined up that balances her passions and her childhood dream, Dr. Weng would choose Chapman over and over again for her education.

Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Western University College of Pharmacy, Dr. Andraos was part of the inaugural APEx program before bridging into CUSP for his Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

"Always be open to learning more about topics that you are not familiar with. Remember, as a health care professional, the goal is to keep the patient safe. You are not expected to know everything, but you are expected to use your best judgment and resources to do what is best for the patient."

After completing the APEx program, she graduated with her PharmD and currently serves as a post-doctoral fellow for global regulatory policy and intelligence at Janssen Pharmaceuticals.

While still a student, Dr. Dobberpuhl won CPhA's Student Pharmacist of the Year and was elected as an APhA-ASP National Member-At-Large. Now, he works as a Regulatory Affairs Manager at Pfizer.

Dr. Phan was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2021 after his exceptional work as a foundational member of the Alumni Advisory Board. He now works as a Senior Safety Scientist at Pfizer.
