Patient Care

Want to become a clinical pharmacist like Mason? Or an ambulatory care pharmacist like Inna? With a Chapman Pharm.D. degree, you can provide support to patients in many ways, including immunization, wellness screenings, medication counseling and more.

Entering into a PGY-1 ambulatory care residency for the County of Santa Clara, Dr. Tagarino's time with Chapman University was defined by brotherhood and seizing every opportunity. Mary Ngo

Awarded as a Chapman University Distinguished Alumni in 2020, Dr. Ngo graduated from both CUSP's PharmD and APEx programs. Now a proud advocate for the pharmacy profession, she serves as an Ambulatory Care Clinical Pharmacist for Los Angeles County.

Dr. Caitlin Calhoun
Class of 2021
A recipient of the 2024 Miltenyi Biotec Immunology Innovator Award, Dr. Calhoun is a Staff Scientist at the Children's Hospital of Orange County. Her research aims to improve pediatric patient outcomes of high risk leukemias through biomarker discoveries.

Dr. Judy Weng
Class of 2020 (PharmD), Class of 2023 (PhD)
Two doctorate degrees, an incredible CV of research and teaching, and a career lined up that balances her passions and her childhood dream, Dr. Weng would choose Chapman over and over again for her education.
Dr. John Andraos
Class of 2019
Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Western University College of Pharmacy, Dr. Andraos was part of the inaugural APEx program before bridging into CUSP for his Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

Policy and Safety

Earning a Pharm.D. doesn’t mean you need to go the traditional route of patient care or research. You can find a meaningful career in policy and drug safety at industry-leading companies and government agencies.

"Always be open to learning more about topics that you are not familiar with. Remember, as a health care professional, the goal is to keep the patient safe. You are not expected to know everything, but you are expected to use your best judgment and resources to do what is best for the patient."
Dr. Ada Anthony-Wise
Class of 2023
After completing the APEx program, she graduated with her PharmD and currently serves as a post-doctoral fellow for global regulatory policy and intelligence at Janssen Pharmaceuticals.
Dr. Eric Dobberouhl
Class of 2020
While still a student, Dr. Dobberpuhl won CPhA's Student Pharmacist of the Year and was elected as an APhA-ASP National Member-At-Large. Now, he works as a Regulatory Affairs Manager at Pfizer.
Dr. Michael Phan
Class of 2018
Dr. Phan was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2021 after his exceptional work as a foundational member of the Alumni Advisory Board. He now works as a Senior Safety Scientist at Pfizer.

Alumni Advisory Board


CUSP's alumnus population grows every year and boasts hundreds of active young professionals. Some alumni choose to be part of the Alumni Advisory Board, which supports and advises the Dean on all alumni topics, internal CUSP networking opportunities, and industry connections. They emphasize strong engagement within the alumni community, strengthening student-alumni relations, and preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals.
