Chapman University’s integrated Teacher Education programs provide a streamlined route to becoming a credentialed K–12 educator.

Chapman undergraduate students begin master’s-level coursework during their junior or senior year and apply up to 15 credits toward both degrees—cutting the time and cost of graduate school by as much as 50%.

  • Integrated Bachelor’s/Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction with Joint Preliminary Multiple Subject (Elementary) and Education Specialist Mild/Moderate Support Needs Credential (Special Education)

Bachelor’s Degree to Master of Arts in Teaching

  • Integrated Bachelor’s/Master of Arts in Teaching Elementary Education (Multiple Subject Credential)
  • Integrated Bachelor’s/Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Education (Single Subject Credential)
  • Integrated Bachelor’s/Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary Education (Music Education Program Emphasis)

Bachelor’s Degree to Master of Arts in Special Education

  • Integrated Bachelor’s/Master of Arts in Special Education with Preliminary Mild/Moderate Credential

Application Deadlines


Students interested in the MACI program must apply by March 16.

Applications for the Integrated Teacher Education programs are accepted on a rolling basis, with deadlines of:
  • Nov. 15 (interterm/spring start)
  • April 15 (summer/fall start).
