The Chapman Transfer Admission Guarantee (C-TAG) for Future Educators is specially designed for future elementary and special education teachers from Santa Ana College (SAC), Santiago Canyon College (SCC), and Irvine Valley College (IVC). Completion of the C-TAG Pathway offers guaranteed admission into Chapman's Liberal Studies major.
What is Liberal Studies?
Chapman University's Liberal Studies program provides broad exposure to the content disciplines and the opportunity for future elementary and special education teachers in California to enter teacher credentialing programs without taking subject matter competency exams. The Liberal Studies major offers early field experiences and opportunities to actively engage in and advocate for inclusive and supportive communities.
Visit the Liberal Studies webpage for more information on the program and course offerings.
Is C-TAG for me?
C-TAG for Future Educators is designed for future elementary and special education teachers seeking to earn California multiple subject (elementary) or special education teaching credentials.
Visit our Teaching Credentials Information Page for more details about the different California teaching credentials available at Chapman and the steps to becoming a credentialed teacher.
Are financial aid and scholarships available?
Yes, absolutely! C-TAG applicants are reviewed for merit-based and need-based scholarships after an admission decision is made by the Office of Admissions. Filing a FAFSA may be required for certain types of aid. Undocumented and DACA students can learn more about financial aid options here.
How do I sign up?
For detailed course plans and pathway requirements, SAC/SCC/IVC students should contact their academic advisors or program centers. For advising on Chapman Transfer Admission, email transfers@chapman.edu.
