Chapman University I Attallah College of Educational Studies
Each year, Chapman University’s Ed.S. in School Psychology program admits one cohort of approximately 20 students. With a highly selective admissions process, our students develop strong connections as they progress through the program together.
Our alumni go on to serve as school psychologists across Southern California, making a difference in diverse educational settings. Graduates are currently employed in districts including Orange, Santa Ana, Tustin, Irvine, Corona-Norco, Riverside, Long Beach, and Los Angeles Unified.

Attallah College Celebrates Research and Collaboration at 2025 NASP Annual Conference
Chapman University’s Attallah College of Educational Studies had a strong presence
at the 2025 National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) annual conference
in Seattle, with faculty and students contributing to 14 activities, including presentations, mini-skills sessions, and workshops.

Mental Health in Schools
The Attallah College of Educational Studies' Mental Wellth Project offers Mental Health
in Schools Toolkits and downloadable resources for educators, parents, and school-age
kids. To promote mental wellness and share mental health resources, Dr. Amy Jane Griffiths and Chapman University students in its M.A. in School Counseling and Ed.S. in School Psychology graduate programs created the materials here to increase mental health literacy and
reduce the stigma of mental health concerns. All the toolkits, handouts, videos, and
worksheets were created by Chapman graduate students for K-12 students, their families,
and educators in the field and are available free of charge.

Chapman’s Attallah College Hosts 2nd Annual “Imagining a Resilient Future” Conference
Focused on LGBTQ+ Youth in Schools
Chapman University’s Attallah College of Educational Studies held its second annual
“Imagining a Resilient Future” conference, an event dedicated to addressing critical
issues faced by youth in schools. While the 2023 conference focused on helping students
attend school and thrive, the 2024 conference centered on enhancing support for LGBTQIA+
youth. The one-day event, hosted by Attallah College’s School Counseling and School Psychology (CSP) programs, welcomed school psychologists, counselors, and educators from the Chapman community
and its partner school districts. Attendees explored new methods for identifying, understanding, and addressing the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of LGBTQIA+ students.

Chapman University Association of School Psychologists
The Chapman University Association of School Psychologists (CUASP) was established
in 2008 as the university’s first NASP-recognized student association.
CUASP brings together students at all stages of the program to foster mentorship and
networking opportunities.
