Chapman’s Electrical Engineering program gives you the opportunity to learn in a hands-on environment with world-class faculty as you master the foundations of electronics, electrical systems design, embedded software and more, as well as tackle security issues and solve some of engineering's most challenging problems.

In this program, you will:
- Conduct research in cutting-edge labs using the latest equipment available.
- Learn how to design and engineer tech for fields like aerospace, medicine and more.

Electrical Engineering careers
Electrical Engineering graduates can go into roles like:
- Electronics engineer.

Engineering scholarships
We’re dedicated to making science and engineering accessible to everyone. That’s why all our Electrical Engineering applicants are eligible for engineering scholarships ranging from $3,000 to 100% of tuition and fees.
The scholarships we offer include:
- Merit-based scholarships for exemplary academic performance.
- Need-based scholarships for students with financial need.
- Human-centered scholarships for students from groups traditionally underrepresented in STEM.
These engineering-specific scholarships are in addition to any general financial aid you receive as a Chapman student.
Engineering research and opportunities
Research is a fundamental part of being an engineer, and at Chapman, you will have plenty of opportunities to get involved in research — even in your first year. This includes:

- Participating in the Grand Challanges Initiative, a two-year research project embedded in your curriculum.

Study abroad and away
Studying abroad is a great way to expand your horizons and experience what life is like in other countries. For Electrical Engineering students, it's also a good way to complete general education classes, finishing those requirements before moving on to your major classes here at Chapman.

Accreditation
As with all programs at Chapman, the engineering degrees offered by Fowler Engineering are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Additionally, Our BS degrees in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering have been designed to align with the criteria outlined by ABET (formerly called the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology). We plan to apply for accreditation once all appropriate assessment and program data is completed. The earliest date that Computer and Electrical Engineering would be accredited is Spring – Summer 2027.
