Alcoves & Reading Areas
There are a variety of alcoves and reading areas on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors of the Leatherby Libraries. They offer comfortable seating, small tables, and laptop tables for study.
Center for American War Letters Archives
Located in the lower level of the Leatherby Libraries, the C.A.W.L. Archives features tables for research or study. Further information about the library is available here.
Fashionables Terrace
Located on the 4th floor of the Leatherby Libraries, the Fashionables Terrace features outdoor tables and comfortable seating for study.
Frank Mt. Pleasant Library of Special Collections and Archives
Located on the 4th floor of the Leatherby Libraries, the Special Collections and Archives features tables for research or study. Further information about the Special Collections and Archives is available here.
Reservable Rooms
There are 21 rooms located throughout the Leatherby Libraries that can be reserved up to 7 days in advance. Further information on reserving a room is available here.
Sala and Aron Samueli Holocaust Memorial Library
Located on the 4th floor of the Leatherby Libraries, the Holocaust Memorial Library features tables and comfortable seating for research or study. Further information about the library is available here.
Study Carrels
Study carrels are spread throughout the perimeter of the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Leatherby Libraries and are for individual study.
Study Commons and Café (Including Lewis Family Lounge)
Located on the 1st floor of the Joyce Marion Chapman Rotunda, the Study Commons and Café features 5 workstations, 5 docking stations, a WEPA kiosk for printer access, and study tables. There are also two reservable rooms, vending machines, a Laptop-to-go kiosk, and a Declining Balance charging station.
Study Tables
Study tables, ranging from 2 – 8 seats, are available on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors of the Leatherby Libraries for small group study.
After Hours Study (Chapman students only)
During the Fall and Spring semesters after the library closes, the Study Commons in the Rotunda is open 5 nights a week, Sunday through Thursday and closed on Friday and Saturday nights. The Study Commons is staffed with a security officer to maintain a safe study environment for Chapman University students, and a valid Chapman ID must be shown to enter during after hours study. The hours are subject to change per availability of a security officer.
