Brittany Lee, PhD, CCC-SLP, assistant professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders, received a Pedagogical Innovation Grant to support the department’s application to become an ASHA-certified CEU provider. The grant will also support a series of seven talks training speech-language pathologists to assess communication among Deaf and Hard of Hearing children. The series will launch in 2027 and address hands-on clinical topics like collaborating with interpreters, selecting appropriate assessment tools, and diagnosing signed and spoken language disorders. Dates and speakers will be announced closer to the events.
