Fall 2026 Productions

Musco Dance Residency Series BalletX

Location: Musco Center for Performing Arts Main Stage
Date: Friday, September 4, 2026

Students involved: All Dance majors

• The Musco Dance Residency Series is a series of master classes and lectures from professional dance companies and culminates in viewing the dance company perform in the Musco Center for the Arts.

New Collaborations: Bodies in Motion

Location: Hilbert Museum and Sandi Simon Center for Dance
Date: Saturday, November 7, 2026
Time: 1:00 p.m. & 2:30 p.m.
Students involved: All 1st-year Dance majors

• Showcase for all first-year dance students in a site-specific performance.
• Faculty choreographers for 2026 are Addison Ector, Natalie Iscovich, Kavita Rao, Cristina McKeever, Ashton Titus, and Gracie Whyte.
• Collaboration with Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music String & Percussion Ensembles.

Fall Faculty Dance Concert

Location: Musco Center for Performing Arts Main Stage
Date: Thursday and Friday, November 19-20, 2026
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Students involved: BA and BFA sophomore, junior and senior Dance majors

• A dance concert showcasing choreography by Chapman faculty.
• Faculty choreographers for 2026 are Liz Maxwell, Wilson Mendieta, Dwight Rhoden, Vickie Roan, Steven Sofia, and Guest Artist Flockworks.
• Styles represented are ballet, jazz, contemporary and modern dance.

Masters at Chapman: Bodies/Spirits/Minds in Motion

Location: Waltmar Theatre
Date: Saturday, December 5, 2026
Time: 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Students involved: BA and BFA sophomore, junior and senior Dance majors

• The theme for the Masters at Chapman concert changes annually and is crafted to create interdisciplinary experiences for the dancers and audience.
• Get a behind the scenes look at the process of how dance engages our bodies, spirits, and minds through movement.
• Chapman Dance majors will perform in works by Seda Aybay, Brian Golden, Miya Hisaka, Chihiro Iwata, Megan Paradowski, and Ido Tadmor.

Interterm 2027 Productions

Musco Dance Residency Series Compagnie Hervé Koubi

Location: Musco Center for Performing Arts Main Stage
Date: Friday, January 29, 2027
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Students involved: All Dance majors

• The Musco Dance Residency Series is a series of master classes and lectures from professional dance companies and culminates in viewing the dance company perform in the Musco Center for the Arts.

Dance Tour: Throughout Southern California

Date: January 11–27,2027
Students involved: BA and BFA senior Dance majors

• A 40-minute showcase with Q&A presented at high schools and Dance Studies across Southern California.
• The show shares the dynamic variety the Chapman dance curriculum supports.

Spring 2027 Productions

Works in Progress (3 showtimes)

Location: Sandi Simon Center for Dance
Date: Friday–Sunday, February 5–7, 2027
Time: 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Students involved: BA and BFA 1st-year, sophomore, junior and senior Dance majors and Dance Studies minors

• An intimate and informal dance performance showcasing the works of emerging Chapman sophomore choreographers.
• Dialogue with the choreographers follows the performance.
