Crafting the Perfect Creamer: From Formula to Foam
August 6-7, 2025
We are pleased to offer a comprehensive short course on Creamers that will delve into all the aspects needed to formulate, process, and market creamers that appeal to consumers. Industry professionals will share their expertise through lectures and demonstrations. This unique course will benefit industry professionals in R&D as well as production, marketing, and QA in the food processing, food service and distribution sectors. No prerequisites needed.
A program of the Dairy Business Innovation Initiative Pacific Coast Coalition funded by USDA-AMS, in collaboration with the CA Milk Advisory Board.

In this course you will gain insights into:
- Market trends and opportunities for product differentiation (retail and food service)
- Different types of creamers and their processing
- What makes it a creamer? Standards and beyond
- Ingredients critical to the manufacture, shelf-life and stability of creamers
- Minimal processing and clean label
- Quality assurance and food safety fundamentals
- Strategies to incorporate functional benefits to enhance nutritional and market value
- Optimizing appeal through label design, use of claims
- Sourcing and pricing of dairy components
- Innovative applications for dairy creamers
