» Laptop Loan Program for Students

The Laptop Loan Program allows qualified students to borrow a MacBook Pro or Dell Precision laptop from the Fowler School of Engineering for use during the semester. It is expected the borrower will use the laptop to perform coursework and recognize it as an essential tool for their education. Laptops are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the limited number of laptops available, the loan program is only available for students currently enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits and active in a Fowler Engineering major.

  • MacBook Pro and Dell Precision laptops are available for loan for up to one semester.
  • The lending period will end at the end of the current semester and must be returned by the last day of the semester.
  • Students must be in good standing with the University, currently enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits, and active in a Fowler Engineering major.
  • A valid Chapman student ID card is required to check out a laptop.
  • Students must complete and submit the Laptop Loan Agreement Form prior to picking up a laptop.
  • One laptop per student on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Students are not allowed to remove, alter, or copy any University licensed software loaded on the laptop.
  • If the laptop is lost, damaged, or stolen, the borrower is responsible for paying for the value of the laptop.
  • A laptop loan is a privilege and can be revoked at any time.
