»Community Involvement Grant

The Office of Community Relations is pleased to offer the Community Involvement Grant (CIG) for Chapman University students and student organizations. We're proud to call the City of Orange our home and we believe that when we can partner with surrounding residents, nonprofits, schools, and businesses on initiatives that make our community an even greater place, we all win.

As an integral part of the community, Chapman encourages our students to help neighbors, support local non-profits, and find new ways to engage in the surrounding community. As a continuing effort to build a stronger sense of community between students and neighbors, the CIG provides support for students who want to engage and support the City of Orange.

Details

Two total grants are available each semester with funding up to $500 per grant. Student organizations can only receive one grant per semester. Once approved, the project must be completed before the end of the current semester. Approved projects must be based within the City of Orange and strictly used for programs and activities that help build a sense of community. Please reference the acceptable examples and restricted uses lists below for more details.

• Complete micro-grant application here
• Provide photos and/or videos, and quotes from students and beneficiary organization after the approved project is completed. This information may be used by Chapman for marketing purposes.
