Mission Statement:
In support of the Chapman University Department of Public Safety’s mission to facilitate
a safe environment conducive to learning, working, and personal growth through education,
engagement, and the development of community partnerships, Fire & Life Safety is responsible
for protecting the Chapman community and its guests by mitigating fire hazards through
code compliance, coordinated inspections of campus facilities, oversight of fire protection
systems, and comprehensive education and training.
Safety Training:
Sign up for available safety trainings through the Safety Training Portal. Safety
trainings include CPR and Fire Extinguisher lessons. For more information on individual
