This program guarantees an interview and preferential consideration for admission for excellent undergraduate Health Science students from Chapman University in the Master of Medical Science Physician Assistant Studies Program contingent upon completion of the following:
- B.S. in Health Sciences with completion of all PA program prerequisite courses
- All science and non-science prerequisite courses must be:
- Taken at Chapman University or at a science transfer agreement program*
- Only taken once
- Taken for a letter grade, earning a "C" or better
- Completed with the grade reflected on your official transcript prior to application submission
- Science GPA > 3.6 and a cumulative GPA > 3.4
- GRE minimum scores: Verbal 155, Quantitative 155, Writing 4
- Three letters of recommendation, one of which is from a PA, MD, or DO
- At least 1,000 hours of patient contact experience. Experiences to be arranged by the student. Program will not arrange or recommend sites.
- U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder), or DACA Applicant
*A science transfer agreement program is a formal agreement between Chapman University and a partner community college, which is currently Saddleback College.
Once you have met the above criteria and are ready to apply to the Physician Assistant Studies Program, the following steps must be completed in the order they are listed to be considered for an interview:
- Contact the PA Admissions Coordinator for a meeting to review your application plans and verify Bridge criteria prior to submitting the application: paadmit@chapman.edu.
- Submit your CASPA application.
- Email PA Admissions with your CASPA ID number to indicate that you are a Bridge applicant and that you have submitted your application. This must be completed no later than a week after submitting your application and prior to the August 1st application deadline.
- Once we review your CASPA application and verify that you have met all criteria, you will be contacted for an interview.
