The School of Communication Board of Councilors works in partnership with the Dean to determine the Communication School’s priorities, programs, and community partnerships. We are enthusiastic about growing the reach of this important group in support of the overarching goal of raising the profile of School of Communication, both in the Southern California region and nationally.

The Board
  • Provides strategic advice and guidance to the Dean
  • Represents a variety of industries to connect the study of communication with greater opportunities to engage in the community
  • Interacts with students and faculty through research projects, internships, and providing advice and insight regarding their industry
  • Builds bridges between the School and top employers in Southern California with the dual purpose of creating employment opportunities for our students and graduates
  • Plays a vital role in raising funds to enhance the quality of education and programming for our students

Their leadership and professional expertise serve to guide and advise Dean Lisa Sparks in her work to shine a spotlight on the communication profession and tell the world what Chapman’s School of Communication has achieved.
