»Nidhi Vogt - Senior Vice President and Deputy Chief of Staff

Nidhi serves as the Senior Vice President and Deputy Chief of Staff at Chapman University, where she oversees areas including Athletics, Career and Professional Development, Enterprise Risk and Safety, the Hilbert Museum of California Art, Human Resources, and the Office of Institutional Compliance. In her role, she leads key functional areas of the university and is involved in external engagement, supporting Board relations and cultivating strategic partnerships with community stakeholders. As Deputy Chief of Staff, Nidhi collaborates closely with university leaders across campuses to advance institutional priorities and initiatives.

Since joining Chapman in 2019, Nidhi has worked across multiple areas: the Fowler School of Law, University Advancement, and the Office of the President. She understands institutional strategy and complexity, and she consistently builds trust and achieves impressive results across our campuses and communities. In 2025, she served on the Presidential Transition Advisory Committee and was instrumental in producing the presidential inauguration events that welcomed nearly 4,000 guests from 60 universities and organizations – a significant visibility moment for Chapman. Under her leadership, Chapman recently set record employer participation at career events and doubled the number of community and school groups visiting the Hilbert Museum.

Previously, Nidhi was the Associate Vice President for Engagement and Volunteerism at Chapman, where she led efforts in alumni and parent engagement, volunteer and donor relations, and annual giving. She also cultivated major gifts from alumni, parents, and Board members. Under her leadership, her teams created strong cross-campus collaborations, resulting in increased engagement, philanthropic support, and volunteerism.

With nearly 20 years of experience in higher education administration, Nidhi has held leadership roles at Whittier Law School, Purdue University Global, and Chapman University. As Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at Chapman’s Fowler School of Law, she oversaw student and alumni programming and staff, and helped establish the Center for Student Success. During the pandemic, she developed innovative programming to foster community among students, faculty, alumni, and administration—efforts that earned national recognition and placed Fowler School of Law on National Jurist Magazine’s list of the 25 Most Innovative Law Schools.

Nidhi is a licensed attorney in California and has practiced in the area of trusts and estates. She has also taught courses at law schools in Southern California. She earned her B.A. from Vanderbilt University and her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law.

In addition to her professional work, Nidhi serves on the volunteer parent board at St. John’s Episcopal School. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, their two children, and their dog.
