»Thom Davis - Interim Chief Financial Officer

Thom is a seasoned university leader with more than 30 years of senior-level higher education experience, most recently serving as vice chancellor for finance and administration at Central Texas College. Before that, he spent 10 years at California State University, serving as vice president and chief financial officer at CSU Bakersfield as well as systemwide leadership roles including chair of the chief administrators and business officers, vice-chair of the CSU Risk Management Authority, and a member of the CSU Supplemental Retirement Plan Advisory Committee. He has also held leadership roles at Averett University, Florida International University, Texas Tech University, and Simpson University.
In addition to managing an extensive portfolio of areas, Thom has led major ERP implementations, capital planning efforts, and budget initiatives while fostering a collaborative environment and developing high-performing teams.
Prior to entering higher education, Thom practiced public accounting and tax consulting in the areas of banking, closely held corporations, estates and trusts, and the California wine industry with the national accounting and consulting firms of Deloitte, Ernst and Young, and KPMG. Thom is a licensed certified public accountant in California and Texas, and he has a Master of Science in Taxation and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, magna cum laude, from Golden Gate University.
