A Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience at the Vatican

The Vatican Masterclass 2026

Argyros student Jayce Gallegos had the rare privilege of participating in a Masterclass panel at Vatican City — a conversation centered on education, global impact, and the defining moments that shape a life's work Joined by Helene Blanchette, Amy Hurley-Hanson, and Cristina Giannantonio, alongside Schmid Center Advisory Council member Dustin Plantholt, Jayce stepped into a room of global leaders from across industries, each bringing decades of experience, hard-won perspective, and a shared standard of excellence.

What made the experience extraordinary wasn't just the setting. It was the honesty in the room: leaders willing to speak openly about risk, uncertainty, and the moments that truly define a path forward. This is the promise of the Schmid Center: connecting students with transformative opportunities that no classroom alone can offer. Moments that don't just inform a career — they shape a person.
