Training Sessions

Below are the different training sessions that are available based on topic. Dates and times for training sessions are in each section.

Open Hours

Open hours will be once a month in DeMille 100. You do not need to register to attend open hours. Topics covered in are class scheduling, permissions numbers, PERC, and assigning advisors.

Class Scheduling (New Users)

Training is required for all class schedulers prior to security being granted. Training is offered twice a semester. Please RSVP for training.

  • April 23rd, 2020, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Class Scheduling Refresh

This training is for staff that have already completed the class scheduling training and are looking for refresh reminders for the upcoming semesters. Refresh training is offered once a semester.

Rinker Class Scheduling

For Rinker campus class scheduling training, please contact Revy Buchanan at rbuchana@chapman.edu.

Permission Numbers

Departments are able to generate and assign permission numbers to students to override class section permissions, requisites, and closed/waitlist status for student registration. Training is required prior to security being given. This training is for new users and a refresher for current users. Please RSVP for training.

Assigning Advisors

Departments are able to assign advisors to students in their programs. Students are then able to see their advisor's name and contact information listed within the Student Center. This training is for new users and a refresher for current users. Please RSVP for training.

Post Enrollment Requisite Checking (PERC)

Post Enrollment Requisite Checking (PERC) is a process that refreshes course requisites after registration so the department can determine eligibility. The department can indicate if a student is approved to take the course without completing the requisites or indicate that the student should be dropped. Training is required prior to security being given.
