History
Our Association was founded in 2016 by Barbara Tye, John Koshak, Thomas Hall, Karl Reitz, and Don Booth in order to advocate for retired faculty. These individuals spent countless hours researching retired faculty associations and meeting with the University administration. Barbara and her fellow board members also wrote and adopted a set of Bylaws that can be found on these pages.

If you would like to sit in on a meeting, please let Jeff Cogan know (cogan@chapman.edu) at least a week ahead of time so you can be included in the meeting reminder which includes the Zoom details and the location of the in-person meeting.
Going Forward
We have many ideas addressing how we can best advocate for retired faculty and ways in which we can be relevant to the Chapman community but we need more Association members to join the Executive Board. There is a great need for your time and talent in order to move our Association forward. In addition to specific positions on the Executive Board, there are also open member-at-large positions.
Our intent, going forward, is to honor and further the goals established by Barbara Tye and the founding members of the Association – not only for ourselves but for all future retired Chapman University Faculty.
