Richard Turner lecture 4/9/2026
Richard Turner presented his lecture based on his exhibit, Stone and Scene to members of the Retired and Emeriti Faculty Association at the Hilbert Museum of California Art on April 9th, 2026. The lecture was followed by a luncheon which was held at the Streamliner Cafe, located at the Orange Train Station near the Chapman Campus.
This Stone is from the Eel River and was formed by flowing water.
The Stone and Scene exhibit opened on February 7, 2026 and continues at the Hilbert Museum of California Art in Orange, California until October 4.
This stone is a ventifact, shaped by windblown sand.

The exhibition is inspired by the Japanese practice called Tokonoma.
