Human Resources Policies and Procedures
Human Resources policies are an essential part of Chapman University. They provide
a framework for managing employees and their workplace environment, guiding the organization's
values, culture, and expectations as part of our commitment to continually improving
the Chapman employee experience. It had become clear that the Staff and Administrative
Handbook needed to serve the needs of our employees.
Well-defined policies and procedures are essential to our employees' success and significantly
impact our University's productivity, employee engagement, and overall success. Policies
play a critical role in managing and mitigating risks, such as discrimination, harassment,
and other forms of misconduct. They foster communication and promote understanding
between staff and supervisors to ensure a clear and consistent expectations for everyone.
Clear and consistent expectations create accountability and trust, contributing to
a psychologically safer workplace.
As we move forward and retire the Staff and Administrator Handbook, we have intentionally
tried to replace it with a user-friendly resource for all Chapman employees, recognizing
that your needs may change throughout your career.
