Working@Chapman is the umbrella term for Chapman's faculty and staff announcements and resources aggregates, which includes: 

• Working@Chapman website 
• Working@Chapman weekly newsletter

Both of these channels are built to provide faculty and staff a quick access point to current announcements, tools and resources.

On Sunday, August 15, Chapman released a new and improved version of this site. It is a front door to all the various tools and resources Chapman has for faculty and staff. This includes: 

• Announcements
• Logins
• Resources
• Tools
• Calendars
• Directories
• Requests
• and more

Working@Chapman Weekly Newsletter

You are probably familiar with this newsletter as it currently frequents Chapman faculty and staff inboxes on a weekly basis. This newsletter compliments the website but focuses more on the promotion of top announcements, stories and events.

This environment has been the home for a few key account functions at Chapman for some time. This includes: 

• My Self-Service (my time/timesheets, my benefits, my money, accrued hours and personal info)
• Manager Self-Service (timesheet approvals)
• Faculty Self-Service
• Advisor Self-Service
• Student Self Service

This is a legacy system that is currently being retired/migrated piece-by-piece as part of a longer project timeline. Details are below on what changed recently and the benefits of this shift.

Peoplesoft HCM (Tiles)

This is a new, modern environment that will eventually replace the my.chapman.edu environment. It acts in a similar manners but uses current technology to ensure a better user experience and security.

NOTE: The my.chapman functions that moved to this new environment have not changed and will act in a similar manner as before, so no new training is needed for things like timesheets and approvals. 

My.chapman.edu Updates

The changes in my.chapman only affect two tab functions: My Self-Service and Manager Self-Service.

NOTE: All other tab functions are not impacted at this time including Faculty Self-Service, Advisor Self-service and Student Self-Service. They will remain in my.chapman.edu. 

On Sunday, August 15, "My Self-service" and "Manager Self-Service" moved to a new, more modern and secure, system. 

Within these two tabs are: 

• My Time (timesheets)
• My Money
• My Benefits
• My Personal Info 
• Accrued Time 
• Manager Time approvals 

As these two tabs are the primary way for submitting timesheets and checking benefits and other personal information, please make sure you understand the shift. There will be a note on the my.chapman page that directs people to the working.chapman.edu site to find direct links to the new "Employee/Manager Self-Service" space.  

NOTE: The my.chapman functions that moved to this new environment have not changed and will act in a similar manner as before, so no new training is needed for things like timesheets and approvals.

Working@chapman.edu Updates

On August 15, we also launched the new Working@Chapman website. The intention of this website is to be a front door to all faculty and staff logins, resources, announcement and much more. We would like to see faculty and staff use this page as their entrance point to the many systems we have. You can even set it as your landing page in your browser.

Migrating parts of my.chapman.edu to the new Peoplesoft HCM (Tiles)

As mentioned in the previous section, the shifts to my.chapman were made as part of a bigger initiative to modernize the technology behind these campus tools. The shift on August 15 only impacted the "My Self-Service" and "Manager Self-Service" functions at this time.

Benefits include: 

• Upgrading a Legacy Technology - As technology gets more advanced, it is necessary that our systems keep current, too. My.chapman is hosted on an older technology that Chapman needs to migrate away from to keep current and build upon. 
• Enhancing Security with 2FA (two-factor authentication) - In this new system, we are able to connect to the 2FA system of logging in, which is a much more modern and safe way of account management. It allows you to log in once to connect to multiple Chapman systems. If you are not currently set up for 2FA, visit our 2FA website for instructions.
• Improving the User Experience and Responsiveness - The new system also improves the user experience of this digital space more since it utilizes modern frameworks and technology, including being mobile friendly and providing real-time accrued times.
• Better future connections - By utilizing this current technology, it unlocks the ability to connect with other modern systems. This allows Chapman to tap into previously inaccessible technologies to improve these core functions.

Introducing a New Working@Chapman Website

The revamp of the Working@Chapman website is a big step forward in the user experience and support of our faculty and staff. The benefits include: 

• A centralized 'front door' to employee resources - as an employee, there are a multitude of systems, resources, tools and happenings that are available. Working@Chapman centralizes all these elements allowing faculty and staff to have a single point of focus and entry when navigating.  
• Exposure to more tools that Chapman offers - Since we don't have a strong centralizing website like Working@Chapman, many of the tools, opportunities and benefits go unnoticed by employees. This site will help elevate important information and give you a stronger understanding of what is available.

Chapman serves a variety of audiences. Please see below for information on how these shifts will impact you.  

Faculty (Full and part-time)

• The "Faculty Self-Service" and "Advising Self-Service" functions in my.chapman remain untouched.
• As faculty, though, the "My Self-Service" and "Manager Self-Service" functions (which includes timesheets) moved to the new system and can be accessed through the "Employee/Manager Self-Service" link on the Working@Chapman site starting August 15. 
• Faculty also have access to other staff and faculty resources on the Working@Chapman website.
• Please also note that “Employee/Manager Self-Service” are behind two-factor authentication (2FA). If you have logged into email, Dropbox or any service that requires 2FA within the last 30 days, you will not be prompted when logging in to access your timesheet. If you have not enrolled in 2FA, please visit Chapman’s Two-Factor Authentication webpage to enroll today.

Staff

• The "Faculty Self-Service," "Advising Self-Service" and "Student Self-Service" functions in my.chapman remain untouched.
• As staff, though, the "My Self-Service" and "Manager Self-Service" functions (which includes timesheets) moved to the new system and can be accessed through the link on the Working@Chapman site starting August 15. 
• Staff also have access to other staff resources on the Working@Chapman website.
• Please also note that “Employee/Manager Self-Service” will be behind two-factor authentication (2FA). If you have logged into email, Dropbox or any service that requires 2FA within the last 30 days, you will not be prompted when logging in to access your timesheet. If you have not enrolled in 2FA, please visit Chapman’s Two-Factor Authentication webpage to enroll today.

Students

• No impact if not employed by the university.

Student Employees

• You will be redirected to the new system for timesheet submissions. You can access the environment through the login drop down 'Paw' menu from the Chapman homepage through working.chapman.edu. Once there, click the “Employee/Manager Self-Service” login red box button on the page to get to timesheets and other employee account information. 
• Please also note that “Employee/Manager Self-Service” will be behind two-factor authentication (2FA). If you have logged into email, Dropbox or any service that requires 2FA within the last 30 days, you will not be prompted when logging in to access your timesheet. If you have not enrolled in 2FA, please visit Chapman’s Two-Factor Authentication webpage to enroll today.

Audiences: Impacts full-time faculty and part-time lecturers, staff and student employees.
