Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a service animal is defined as a
dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual
with a disability.
Pets providing emotional support, well-being, comfort, or companionship are not recognized
as Service Animals and are not permitted in the library.
Service Dog Fraud is a Crime. California Penal Code 365.7 (a).
