» Camps & Festivals

Thinking of majoring in music, dance or theatre? Want to explore Chapman's beautiful campus? We invite you to join us on campus for events geared specifically for high school students. Whether you attend a performance, tour our facilities, or participate in a specialty day or festival, we cannot wait to welcome you to campus!

Summer Music Camps

Chapman University offers week-long summer music camps for students entering grades 9–12. The Instrumental Music Camp is designed for brass, woodwind, and percussion musicians, while the Vocal Music Camp focuses on the art of vocal performance. Both camps conclude with a concert in our 1,044-seat Musco Center for the Arts.

Music Festivals

Led by Southern California’s preeminent music faculty, these day-long instrumental and choral intensives offer high school musicians pre-professional training on the beautiful Chapman University campus, culminating in a performance in Musco Center for the Arts. Past festivals include the Choral Festival, Double Reed Day, Honor Band Festival, and Strings Festival.

Henry Kemp-Blair Shakespeare Festival

Hosted annually each spring by Chapman University's Department of Theatre. Students spend the weekend on scene, monologue and design presentations and participating in workshops. This event is a wonderful opportunity for students to experience and learn more about performing Shakespeare.
