I started at Chapman in 2007, initially working with Dodge College students until 2018. I then switched to working with students subject to academic dismissal. I am now back with Dodge and am excited to be working with Film and Media Arts students again.
I’ll be able to help you better understand your program evaluation in its entirety. I can help out with all of the rules and requirements as they apply to GE, major and minor requirements, as well as help in understanding how changing majors or minors will affect your progress towards graduation.
After we meet you should feel better informed about where you stand with graduation. I will also help you get organized regarding issues that may need to be addressed by other departments or advisors and make sure who you need to speak with to have them resolved.
My interests include hanging out with my daughter, Star Trek, reading, watching movies, playing bass guitar, and building effects pedals and amplifiers. I also enjoy working with metal and am a board member for the Orange County Blacksmith’s Guild, as well as teaching myself some machining in my garage.
Advice from Joe
Never stop learning. Never stop asking questions. It's okay to make mistakes as long as we learn from them. As Frank Zappa Said: "Without deviation from the norm, progress is not possible."
Favorite spot on campus
My favorite spot on campus is anywhere there's a bench under a big, shady tree.
