Hello everyone!
I am Mona Gutierrez, your Academic Advisor for Health Science and Applied Human Physiology. I am excited to work with you here at Chapman as part of your academic journey! I can assist you with general education requirements, major requirements, minor exploration, and share university resources! My main goal is making sure you feel you have someone to talk to about all your academic needs, so feel free to schedule a meeting with me to discuss your course schedule, long term plan, pathways, emphasis, etc.
When I’m not working, you can usually find me at Disneyland! I enjoy the magical feeling and nostalgia. I’m also that person who brings their kindle to read in line.
Advice from Mona
Enjoy this time in college! Learn how to balance your time with your classes, internships, research, and social life. Don’t forget to add time to take care of yourself, whether that’s treating yourself to a sweet treat or taking a nap (but don’t miss class!). Most of all, take advantage of all the resources you have available to you while you’re here at Chapman. Attend those workshops, seminars, networking and social events. They’ll not only be fun, but beneficial to your academics and career!

I’m an avid reader, so my favorite spot to read a chapter or two is Attallah Piazza!
