Artificial intelligence is evolving at a rapid pace, with today’s innovations quickly becoming tomorrow’s history. The Leatherby Libraries AI Committee is committed to remaining flexible, agile, and forward-looking, ensuring that AI is integrated into library services and Chapman University initiatives in ways that are strategic, ethical, and responsible. The committee provides leadership in programming, training, tool evaluation, and national engagement, while fostering a culture of continuous learning across the academic community.

Committee members are charged with:

  • Staying current on emerging AI technologies and best practices in academic librarianship.
  • Sharing resources, insights, and expertise across the Chapman University campus.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the academic community.
  • Ensuring AI adoption is effective, ethical, transparent, and aligned with Chapman’s mission.
