ยป Janes Financial Center Residency Program
The Janes Financial Center Residency Program is dedicated to training highly motivated, top-performing business students seeking a career in the finance industry. The Residency Program aims to bridge the gap between the classroom and a career in finance by providing its residents with opportunities to develop and hone their finance and professional skill set.
By participating in the program, Residents are challenged to broaden and deepen their understanding of the global economy and various asset classes including US Equities, International Equities, Fixed Income, and Real Estate. To obtain hands-on experiences students are tasked with various consulting projects for Orange County investment firms, actively manage a diverse investment portfolio valued at $3.7 million, and often compete in investment and finance-related competitions.
Program Outcomes:
- Prepare students for careers in equity research, investment banking, private equity, quantitative hedge funds, and asset management
- Participating students’ average salary after graduation: $95,000

CFA Investment Research Challenge

Students in the Janes Financial Center Residency Program participate annually in the CFA Institute Research Challenge. The CFA IRC is a global competition that provides university students with hands-on mentoring and intensive training in financial analysis and professional ethics. Students compete against local universities and are tested on their analytical, valuation, report writing, and presentation skills. Read about some of the Residents' accomplishments here.

Chapman University participates in the CFA Affiliated University Program. An Affiliated University signals to their students and to employers that their curriculum is closely tied to the practice of investment management and is helpful to students preparing for the CFA Program exams.
