» Undergraduate Student Research Grant Application

Wilkinson College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences is pleased to offer a limited number of research grants up to $500 for undergraduate students majoring in the college's programs. These grants are available to students to help defray expenses related to completing a capstone or significant research/creative project. Applications will be evaluated according to their clarity and completeness.

  • Application is to be completed by the student.

Proposal budgets should not exceed $500 and applicants are encouraged to prioritize budget items as only partial funding may be available.  Award funds may be used for:

  1. Travel expenses directly related to the project such as working in an archive or collecting field data, such as airfare, lodging, and ground transportation.
  2. The purchase of equipment, materials, software, or supplies directly related to the project

Grant funds are for reimbursable expenses only. Cash advances prior to travel are not permitted. To ensure a timely and accurate reimbursement of expenses please attach receipts for each item as proof of payment and a Non-PO Payment Form using the Student Grant Activity Report Form found on our forms page.
