Jody Brown has served as a part-time instructor for 19 years at Chapman University in "the Attallah College of Educational Studies" and has recently joined the faculty of the Integrated Educational Studies program as a Senior Lecturer. Courses taught include “The Philosophy of Helping”, “Collaboration for Inclusive Schooling” and “The Profession of Teaching in Special Education.” During the 2014-2015 academic year, Jody served as the Interim Coordinator of the Special Education Programs in CES. In addition to teaching at Chapman, Jody has over 35 years of experience in the public school system. Her experience includes piloting an elementary inclusion program, teaching students with disabilities in a collaborative setting for 17 years. In addition to her elementary experience, she has worked with students in K – 12 settings in California and Illinois as a teacher and as a speech/language pathologist. Jody and her husband Jim have three children and one grandson.
