The scholarship is available for up to eight semesters for first-year students. For transfers, it is available for up to eight semesters minus the number of full-time equivalent semesters completed prior to enrollment.

Scholarship renewal eligibility
To be eligible for renewal, you must:
- Continue to major in a STEM degree program offered by the Fowler School of Engineering, the Schmid College of Science & Technology, or the Crean College of Health & Behavioral Sciences.
- This means you will keep your scholarship if you stay in your current major or switch to another STEM major.
- Be enrolled full-time.
- Receive no grade lower than a B- in any class offered by the Fowler School of Engineering.
- Maintain a-minimum Chapman cumulative grade point average of 3.0.
